The Breakfast Wow. Having someone cook me breakfast gave me a wonderful feeling of feeling "special". Fresh poached eggs and bacon Yum. -The Bathroom so spacious with such an assortment of little nice things. -shower cap etc etc. Not that I would use them but lovely to look at. -Home made Afghan biscuits - yum - Neil a great host

Neil's home is just that...homey. Neil is a natural host, good natured and very accommodating to requests. Neil has cooking all manner of eggs down to a 't'. His pancakes are terrific. We love our breakfasts so this was great for us. Our room was with the double bed and the smaller of the two bedrooms. Whilst not large, having two areas to put clothes in drawers helps and being able to hang a few things as well we managed. Neil spruces up the room every day and changes the towels, refreshes water...nice. The fast internet connection was terrific. The bathroom is a highlight... the shower is brilliant. We found no difficulty sharing the bathroom with other guests during our stay. You will be assured of a quality stay at Wellsbourne at a very reasonable price.

Comfortable room, friendly host, excellent breakfast, great value for money, home baked cookies to welcome me in my room , as well a complimentary lift to the airport. I'd highly recommend this B and B to anyone requiring to stay in Palmerston North. It certainly exceeded my expectations.

Host! Neil is a great person who cooks excellent breakfast! He really made us feel welcome. His place is super neat and clean. By far the best place we stayed in during our time in NZ!

My husband and I chose this B&B as we were relocating from Canada to Palmerston North. As it turned out, we really lucked out and this was the perfect place to stay. The host, Neil Day, is extremely kind and went out of his way on a daily basis. He picked us and all of our luggage up from the bus terminal, cooked up delicious breakfasts every morning, cleaned our room while we were out, and even provided homemade cookies upon arrival! The accommodation itself is fantastic! The room is equipped with fast internet, comfortable beds, tea & coffee, and plenty of natural sunlight. The bathrooms have toiletries and fresh towels daily. The backyard even features a spa pool for a quick afternoon dip. Fabulous place to stay- highly recommended!!!

Best place in NZ so far. Hardly to be topped in many aspects. Not a dream of a location, but 10 minutes by feet to town. Perfect choice, if you want to check out Palmerston North.

Very comfortable, felt at home straight away! Great selection of movies, bed was ridiculously comfy, host was so accommodating and prepared delicious breakfasts at a time that suited you. Location is perfect, can walk into the square with plenty of food choices around you. Spa was in a lovely garden setting (great at night) and bathroom was lovely.

Evereything was just perfect! From the moment our host picked us up from the station until he dropped us off 3 days later at our bus stop - it was one very delightful and unforgetable experience! To Neil - our host with his loveley cooked breakfast's our luxurous room and interesting conversations - thank you so much! Highly recommended place to stay any time.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this B&B. Host was very friendly and helpful. The room was sufficient for our needs, clean and warm. Having to share a bathroom was not a problem and has everything you would need. Breakfast was very good. The B&B is within walking distance of a big supermarket and a few good restaurants. Will use again if I have to stay in Palmerston North.

My 2 nights at Wellesbourne were terrific. Neil's response to my inquiry was prompt and directions to his B&B faultless. A compendium was in the room outlining eateries etc and Neil was more than willing to share local knowledge. Wellesbourne is, on a sunny day, walking distance to the Square. Breakfast was ample and Neil went out of his way to accommodate off street car parking. Yes, I would stay again.

Very friendly host and delicious breakfast - thank you. The movie selection could perhaps do with an update, but the accommodation itself was clean, tidy and comfortable. This was our first b&B stay so cannot make any comparison - but no complaints here.
